Everything You Need to Know About Pure Sleep Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece
This is a boil-and-bite mandibular advancement device (MAD). It gently nudges your lower jaw forward while you sleep, which helps open up the airway behind your tongue; reducing the vibrations that cause snoring.
PureSleep uses a dual-polymer design: a soft inner layer molds to your teeth and gums, and a more rigid outer shell provides structure. It’s built to adapt to a wide variety of jaw shapes; overbite, underbite, or typical bite; so you don’t have to deal with a one-size-fits-none fit.
This mouthpiece is FDA-cleared for over-the-counter use, which means it has met certain safety and efficacy standards. It’s been used by medical professionals (dentists and ENT specialists) for years, and many users trust it for regular snoring relief.
- Ideal for adult snorers who don’t have severe sleep apnea but want a reasonably priced, effective solution.
- Not recommended for those with loose teeth, severe gum disease, or recent dental implants, because the device exerts pressure on the teeth.
- Users with jaw joint (TMJ) problems should also consult a dentist first; shifting the jaw forward overnight can be stressful on the joint.
Some jaw soreness or tightness is normal in the first few nights as your muscles adjust. Over time, many users find it more comfortable and snoring reduces significantly.
PureSleep recommends cleaning the device regularly using either their effervescent cleaning tablets or a gentle soap + warm water. With good care, the mouthpiece lasts several months (typically 4-12 months depending on usage).

Usage Guide
-
Heat to Soften
Bring water to a gentle boil, remove it from heat, and place the Pure Sleep mouthpiece into the hot water. This softens the inner material so it can mold comfortably to your teeth without losing structure.
-
Cool to a Safe Temperature
Lift the device out using tongs and let it sit for a few seconds until it reaches a temperature that’s safe to handle and place in your mouth. This prevents burns while keeping the material pliable.
-
Fit & Mold to Your Bite
Place the warmed mouthpiece in your mouth and gently bring your lower jaw slightly forward; this forward shift is what helps reduce snoring. Bite down firmly for 20–30 seconds while pressing the outer edges with your fingers for a secure, personal fit.
-
Set the Shape in Cold Water
Remove the device and immediately place it in cold tap water. This locks your customized impression in place, ensuring the mouthpiece maintains your bite shape while you sleep.
-
Rinse, Wear & Maintain
Rinse the fitted mouthpiece under cool water and try it on to confirm comfort. Wear it nightly, and after every use, clean it with mild soap and warm water. Let it air-dry fully before storing it to keep it fresh and long-lasting.
